I agree that we trust less, because technology has created ways to quickly ruin trust. Another point is we are too rushed to create bonding relationships.

I disagree with living day to day without planning. How is that working out for you?

When you set goals, don’t make the outcome so tight that when you miss the mark you’re totally devastated. Allow room to grow. Go watch March of the Penguins. They plan, yet fail many times – but they never give up.

What is exciting for humans is that when we do the same, we are richly rewarded for our efforts.
