I agree. Thomas C. Willhite said, "It's not a matter of changing one's thoughts. It's keeping thoughts changed."

If you think it is hard to change thoughts, then it is. The better thing is to acknowledge, "Gee, I have a underlying program running me here, and I want this thing, yet not DOING the stuff I need to do to get there. Hmmmm, isn't THAT interesting.

Writing down the goals is very important and keeping the doubt seeds (weeds) out of your garden (mind) is the most important thing. You have to believe that you are getting better and better at keeping your thoughts changed.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jer. 29:11 NIV

I agree 100%!! The biggest challenge in this business is me - Fortunately, that is something I can completely control, it is just hard.

As Jeff Olson says in "The Slight Edge" (I think that is where it is from) - it is easy to do the right thing day by day. But it is easier not to. How true!! If we are to be among the 5%, which I know we all Want to be, then we must do the harder thing, day by day.

I have copied and enlarged your whole paragraph "The only way you are going to achieve your financial goals is if you get really serious, etc ........" that is my new favorite quote, which I will be pasting up all over in my home and car, and calendar book.

It's a great encouragement to hear that our odds will go up to 19 to 1 as we go to Vegas!!

When I struggle with discouragement and fear, my first source is the Bible. Did you know there are 365 verses that talk about fear? I find more help in my faith than anywhere else. And I know God sends me great resources, such as books, and articles like yours, to get me going again. Keep up the great work!!
