God Really Does Want You to Prosper
As I’m writing this in 2012, many people, some very close friends, are going through more financial difficulty than they every dreamed. In 2009 onward we heard the stories of people losing jobs who had been employed for years and close to retirement. And they seemingly can’t get ahead by finding a good job or making ends meet any other way. Everyone knows someone who has either lost their home or had to sell at a discount deeper than they wanted. It appears the “recession” is here and people are scrambling to survive.
If this is you, I’m writing this for you.
God really does want you to prosper. And what you are going through isn’t His plan at all.
Now before you think I’m going to give you a lesson on prosperity theology, stop. This isn’t going there and I’m not going to tell you to send money to some “ministry” to get a cloth or water that promises you’ll have a magical amount of cash show up in your bank account. That’s one of the main reasons most people shun TV ministries – we aren’t following God’s plan for prosperity and it comes off as fake and well, just a huge turn off for anyone with half a brain.
Let me preface by saying I am not a know-it-all and even though I have opinion and interpret the scriptures one way, God is the ultimate authority. Use the Holy Spirit to guide you as you read here. I am sharing this with you because it was shown to me, and I further studied it, and is something that I found that works and lines up with what I feel God would have us do as followers of Christ.
God is a father just like me. And consistency and persistency with God is rewarded by Him, just like I reward my kids. And so as a Father, He really wants us to have good things. The most incredible thing about this is that He shows us how to prosper right in the Bible.
Before we dig in and I show you what I’ve found, let me tell you that for many of us, we are not so young anymore. So having a plan to become supernaturally blessed by the Creator is a pretty grand thing. To tell you the truth, I don’t have time for normal!
The similarities are striking between God and how we react with our children. When we see our kids believing without a doubt that we are going to give something to them – we do everything it takes to get that thing. They put full trust in us and we seldom disappoint – at our own cost.
Here are some facts you’ll encounter when prosperity God’s way starts to happen in your life:
- People will get annoyed with your success.
- It takes courage to be successful – you’re not going to find it by accident.
- Sometimes, there are deep roots that are sabotaging your success.
- Associate with people of faith, speaking encouragement and faith into you.
Let’s start with How to Prosper with God.
