WhatsApp Data Leaks to Google

WhatApp Leaks to Google

In news today… Self immolation always seemed so absolutely insane to me. There are far easier less painful ways to go. But it does make a statement I suppose https://www.cbsnews.com/news/the-blue-girl-iran-woman-caught-sneaking-soccer-stadium-dies-setting-herself-fire-rather-than-prison/

Zuckerberg can’t enter Canada or the UK. Wow I don’t think he’ll ever recover from scandal but that’s okay, he can retire with billions after nearly allowing democracy to be destroyed, genocide to flourish, and hate to spread across the world.

And I maintain that I believe WhatsApp is leaking information.

I just haven’t found a way to prove it but information discussed here shows up in other various places. Like YouTube. Could be Google at play. I haven’t dove deep into this yet.

The info here isn’t encrypted until I hit send and then it’s unencrypted again on your end. So it could be Google gathering data it easily would have access to. Or the company that develops my keyboard sells keystroke information. I think they are owned by Microsoft now after selling. Hmmm I’ll figure it out.

Information from here shows up in other areas/apps of my phone and I think it can probably be Google, since it has access to everything occurring on my phone really. So not saying that WhatsApp is leaking, I believe now it’s probably Google using what it sees. I would have a hard time proving this and maybe it’s coincidence. Or possibly info I’ve inadvertently given by taking screenshots or using Google assistant. Could be so many different ways.

Screenshots uploaded automatically to Google photos and then Google using that to feed me recommendations. That’s not so far fetched. But idk. I think my foil hat was on too tight.

We collect information about your activity in our services, which we use to do things like recommend a YouTube video you might like. The activity information we collect may include:

Terms you search for
Videos you watch
Views and interactions with content and ads
Voice and audio information when you use audio features
Purchase activity
People with whom you communicate or share content
Activity on third-party sites and apps that use our services
Chrome browsing history you’ve synced with your Google Account

If you use our services to make and receive calls or send and receive messages, we may collect telephony log information like your phone number, calling-party number, receiving-party number, forwarding numbers, time and date of calls and messages, duration of calls, routing information, and types of calls.

I’m not sure what Google services WhatsApp uses but as you can see anything and everything is collected so that they can recommend me YouTube videos. Thank god for that!

In some circumstances, Google also collects information about you from publicly accessible sources. For example, if your name appears in your local newspaper, Google’s Search engine may index that article and display it to other people if they search for your name. We may also collect information about you from trusted partners, including marketing partners who provide us with information about potential customers of our business services, and security partners who provide us with information to protect against abuse. We also receive information from advertisers to provide advertising and research services on their behalf.

We use various technologies to collect and store information, including cookies, pixel tags, local storage, such as browser web storage or application data caches, databases, and server logs.

Lordy the wealth of information is enormous. How much is one person’s data worth.? I bet we’re all worth millions! Where my money Google?

So essentially even if the app has encryption end to end, it’s not encrypted on the device itself so the caches and database logs of WhatsApp conversations are collected and used by Google for my benefit. Thank you Google I wouldn’t know what to watch without you.

The immense faith we put in these companies is incredible. Especially Apple and Google.

Didn’t I just see something about an antitrust lawsuit against Google?

So any new Apple stuff? I missed the hoopla.

Same overpriced stuff; better camera.
